Louis Tomlinson fuels Harry Styles rivalry speculation ahead of same day music releases?
Fomer One Direction bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles set to release music on the same day
One Direction fans have speculated that Louis Tomlinson has taken a subtle dig at Harry Styles as both artists prepare to release new music on the same day.
The timing has caught fans’ attention with the 34-year-old English singer releasing his album How Did I Get Here? On Friday, January 23, the same day his former bandmate, Harry, 31, is dropping his new single Aperture.
The As It Was hitmaker has already sparked excitement online after unveiling his new album, Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally, along with its lead single.
Ahead of the releases, the Lemonade singer seemingly addressed the situation on X, formerly Twitter, asking his 28.8 million followers for their help ''help cutting through the noise."
"Going to need your help over the next few days to cut through the noise. Time to give this record the moment it deserves!" Louis penned.
His post led many fans to question whether the Bigger Than Me singer was "throwing shade" at Harry.
"'Cut through the noise' why do I feel like this is a Harry shade?; Is he trying to shade… Harry? Oh Harry Styles when I catch you," a fan commented.
However, Louis did not address the speculation online but went on to thank his fans for their support in another post.
"Let me take this moment to say thank you to every single person that has supported me over the years. You are throughout this record and everything I do," he wrote in the heartfelt post.
Continuing, "This album would never have sounded the way it does without all the power and confidence you lot have given me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! How did I get here?"
