Chris Noth opens up about strained relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker
Chris Noth discusses rift with the ‘Sex and the City’ co-star following sexual assault allegations
Chris Noth has finally broken his long-held silence on speculation surrounding an alleged rift with Sarah Jessica Parker, with whom he starred on the critically acclaimed series Sex and the City.
In an exclusive clip from the upcoming January 26 episode of Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, the 71-year-old actor confirmed that he is no longer on friendly terms with the actress following her firm response to multiple sexual assault allegations made against him in 2021.
"We’re not friends, I think that’s pretty obvious," Noth said.
He was accused of sexual assault by three women; however, he has denied the allegations, stating that he "has not and would never cross that line."
Following the fallout, Parker released a joint statement alongside her other co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis.
"We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it," the statement read.
In a new development, Noth revealed that he was deeply disappointed with Parker, claiming she did not give him an opportunity to share his side of the story before publicly supporting the accusers.
"The statement that they put out — which was nothing more than brand management, really — I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising," he said.
Expressing his frustration, the Law & Order alum added, "Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You’ve known me for many years, and we’ve worked [together] for many years."
Noth concluded by reiterating that he believes Parker should have contacted him before supporting the accusers, saying he could have given her the "real scoop" on the situation.
