The two have been nominated for the Best Actor Oscar
Oscar 2026 nominations are out and all eyes are on the Best Actor category.
On January 22, the nominations for Hollywood’s most revered awards were announced for the 2025 movies.
While many performances won hearts last year, two emerged as the top contenders.
Timothee Chalamet’s Marty Supreme and Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another, as expected, are going head to head.
On one hand, there is Timothee, a young talent who has made history being nominated thrice at the age of 30.
While on the other, there is an established household name like Leonardo DiCaprio who received his 8th Oscar nomination, 6th Best Actor.
If the 30-year-old wins the Oscar, he will be the second-youngest winner ever after Adrien Brody, who was 29 when he won the Best Actor award for The Pianist.
If the Titanic legend wins, it will establish him among other industry greats like Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson who have won the Best Actor award twice.
The 98th Academy Awards will be held on March 15.
