Ajay Devgn has voiced support for Border 2, praising its patriotic themes as the film hits theaters today across India.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the 56-year-old actor shared a poster displaying the film’s stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty.

“Stories that honour our soldiers and the spirit of the nation remind us of who we are as Indians. Border 2 stands for courage, sacrifice, and deep-rooted love for the country. Wishing the entire team Bhushan, Nidhi, Sunny, Varun, Diljit, Ahan, the very best as they bring a powerful story of desh bhakti to the big screen," he wrote.

Previously, advance bookings for the film showed strong numbers. According to Sacnilk, Border 2 has recorded domestic pre-sales of Rs 12.5 crore, with over 4 lakh tickets sold across 16,221 shows, including 2D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and IMAX 2D formats.

However, the movie is facing delays in the Gulf. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE will not be releasing Border 2. By now, it’s given that films perceived as having ‘anti-Pakistan’ content don’t get a release in this belt."

Moreover, the tipster added, "Yet, the team of Border 2 did make an attempt, and sadly, their attempts proved futile. One day is left for release, and the hope is still there that they pass the film, though the possibility seems remote."
