The much-awaited crime thriller Vadh 2, starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta is set to hit theatres on February 6, 2026.

The sequel backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg will present a new story that maintains the same intense atmosphere which made the original movie successful. The new chapter will be directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu who previously directed the original film.

A new story rooted in the same ideology

Vadh 2 shows a different approach to sequels because it does not continue its previous story. The story presents new characters who interact with the same central theme of the story.

Explaining the approach Luv Ranjan said, “It doesn’t start from where part one ended. The characters are different but their ideology is the same.”

The film goes on to explore the ordinary reactions of people when pushed to extremity by life.

Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta return with ensemble cast

Sanjay returns in another challenging role alongside Neena with the makers believing his presence adds an unpredictable edge to the narrative.

Luv explained the effective casting by stating, "When a common man goes to an extreme you don’t expect, that’s where the fun and tension lie." The statement perfectly captures the tone the film aims to achieve.

The sequel includes Kumud Mishra who plays an important character alongside the main actors. The ensemble cast includes Amitt K. Singh, Akshay Dogra, Yugika Bihani and Shilpa Shukla adding more depth to the story.

Trailer date and franchise plans

Fans have shown excitement for Vadh 2 because they reacted positively to the first look poster which shows Sanjay and Neena while they consider the original movie to be an iconic work.

The trailer will be available in theaters together with Border 2 on the 27th of this month while it will also be released online. Luv Ranjan explained that he wants Vadh to become a successful franchise but audience response will determine its future because he works as a producer.
