Rani Mukerji returns as the fierce officer Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3 after her two successful films Mardaani and Mardaani 2.

The creators of the film needed to add informational material about child and woman trafficking to their project.

The modifications which were executed on Mardaani 3 resulted in its approval for a U/A 16+ certification which occurred on January 14. The censor certificate states that the film has a runtime of 137.07 minutes. Mardaani 3 has a total running time of 2 hours and 17 minutes and 7 seconds.
