Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan’s film King was set to release in theaters on December 24, 2026, the makers confirmed on Friday. The film marked Khan’s new collaboration with director Siddharth Anand.

The team revealed the release date through a teaser. The announcement came months after the first teaser was released on Khan’s birthday, November 2, 2025.

In the latest teaser, Shah Rukh Khan appeared standing on a mountain with silver-streaked hair. He looked intense and serious, and the video showed fast action scenes. The teaser gave viewers a clear look at his role as a mob boss.

An earlier teaser showed Khan injured while holding a King of Hearts card. He delivered a monologue, saying, “Kitne khoon kiye ye yaad nahi… Hazaar jurm, 100 deshon mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam.”

Fans reacted strongly on social media. Many shared clips from the teaser and commented on Khan’s new look.

The film also starred Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, and Anil Kapoor. King was produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.

This film marked Suhana Khan’s first theatrical release after her digital debut in The Archies in 2023.

With its Christmas release, King was expected to become one of the major Bollywood films of 2026.
