The new pictures of the US President sparked outrage
US President Donald Trump is turning 80 this year after dodging an assassination attempt during presidential campaign two years ago.
However, Trump’s recent pictures have sparked discourse about his health and well being.
One person wrote “Congenital heart failure explains the bruising, edema and cognitive decline.”
Another wrote “You see hands like this in nursing homes.”
Since his return to the White House for his second term, his right hand has been seen bruised which is often concealed with bandage and makeup.
Pictures taken on Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, featured the bruise looking darker than ever.
Clarifying the injury, Trump told the journalists at the event saying “I clipped it on the table”.
“So I put a little, what do they call it, cream on it. But I clipped it.” he added.
Last summer, Trump’s swollen limbs sparked concern which was clarified by the administration saying that the leg swelling had been diagnosed as a symptom of chronic venous insufficiency.
In another instance, Trump’s doctor said the president is in “excellent” health.
