Cristina Payne responds to Corey Holcomb punching footage: 'I fear for my life'
Cristina Payne claims gun was involved before Corey Holcomb punch
Comedian Cristina Payne shared her side of the story after an alarming video emerged showing Corey Holcomb punching her in the face.
The surveillance footage released Thursday by The Bizi Room seems to show Holcomb hitting Payne during a quarrel outside the Hollywood Improv in December 2024.
The clip shows the two arguing in the street before Holcomb throws a right-handed punch starting a chaotic brawl.
As the video spread online Payne broke her silence raising serious safety concerns.
On Friday Payne appeared on TMZ Live saying she fears for her life and claiming Holcomb has continued to threaten her since the incident.
“It’s horrible the way he treats women, the way he talks about us,” Payne said. “And then to the point where it’s like, really, you’re going to hit me?”
She expressed frustration that no action was taken at the time.
“I’m just disappointed in how nothing was done,” she said.
Payne also shared new context about the confrontation claiming a gun was involved before the punch was thrown.
“That video really needs to start from when I walk out there initially,” she said.
“There’s a gun involved that he passed off to another female comedian and was like, ‘Oh, go put that up for me,’ before he hit me.”
According to TMZ the conflict began during the summer of 2024 when Holcomb and Payne reportedly had a falling out.
Sources claim Holcomb made violent remarks about Payne and later confronted her in person.
