Anurag Basu candidly dropped a rare detail about Arijit Singh upcoming career move.
The update follows the acclaimed singer’s surprise announcement that he is stepping away from playback singing. In a note on Instagram, he said he will focus on composing music, adding, “I am calling it off.”
In an interview with BBC Hindi, the filmmaker stated, “The world was in shock after learning about Arijit Singh’s decision, but I was not at all surprised or shocked. I have known him for a long time and feel he is very talented and wishes to do more apart from singing.”
The Life In A Metro director also shared, “He asked me to make him an assistant in Barfi. He has an in-depth knowledge about filmmaking.”
Moreover, he told the outlet, the singer dreams of opening a school for kids and spending time with them.
On Tuesday, January 27, the vocalist updated his fans on social media, saying, “I am calling it off,” which left many of his followers devastated.
