Arijit Singh after stepping away from playback singing, is reportedly eyeing a political future.

According to NDTV, he’s gearing up to launch a political party, although the details are still under wraps.
Apart from composing music, the artist recently directed a Hindi feature set in Bolpur, West Bengal, featuring stars Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and his daughter Shora in leading roles.
Despite earning crores, the India’s heartthrob singer lives a simple life in Jiaganj, Murshidabad district, West Bengal.
In his Instagram post, the playback sensation greeted his social media admirers for the New Year and thanked fans for their constant support, then announced his decision to retire from playback music career.
On X (formerly Twitter), he clarified his future plans, "God has been really kind to me. I am fan of good music and in future will be learning more and do more on my own as a small little artist."
Furthermore, he penned, "Thanks again for all your support. I still have to finish some pending commitments, will finish them. So you might get some releases this year. Just to be clear that I won't stop making music."
He also opened up about why he decided to step away, "There is not one reason behind this, there are several reasons...One of the reasons were simple."
Moreover, he added, "I get bored pretty quick, thats why I keep changing arrangements of the same songs and perform them on stage. So here is the thing, I got bored. I need to do some other music to live."
