Bollywood’s evergreen star Govinda has once again become the talk of social media, but this time, it’s not for his dance moves or comedy scenes. 

A video showing the 62-year-old actor stepping into a taxi at an airport in Uttar Pradesh has gone viral, leaving fans and critics alike buzzing.

In the clip, Raja Babu actor is seen exiting the airport and hopping into a Hyundai Aura emblazoned with “Bharat Sarkar” on the side.

Notably, it seemed like the car was a government-authorised vehicle. 

The simple ride sparked speculation online, with some users questioning why the actor, once synonymous with flashy Mercedes, Audi, and BMW arrivals, was seen in a “regular” taxi.

One social media user commented, “Seeing such a big star’s changing times is shocking. Once Mercedes, Audi, BMW – today a simple Aura. It’s not about the car; it shows how temporary fame is. Humility and right choices matter.” 

Another added a playful note, “Bhai Sahab, the car says ‘Government of India’ – what more luxury do you need?”

Some fans were quick to explain that private vehicles aren’t allowed at Agra Airport, meaning Govinda’s choice was likely out of necessity rather than a style downgrade.

Others saw it as a lesson in humility, joking, “Safalta ko sir pe nahi chadne dena chahiye, khajur ka nahi aam ka ped bano.”

Apart from ongoing rumours, Govinda hasn’t announced any personal projects.

 He is reportedly gearing up to launch his son Yashvardhan in a horror comedy directed by Sajid Khan .
