Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo score Best Pop Duo win at 2026 Grammys
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have taken home the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Grammy for their duet of Defying Gravity from Wicked.
The pair beat out stiff competition, including Katseye’s Gabriella, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ Apt., SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s 30 for 30, and Golden by KPop Demon Hunters’ fictional group Huntr/x.
Neither artist was present to accept the award.
For Grande, this marks her second win in the category, following her 2021 triumph with Lady Gaga for Rain On Me.
Erivo, meanwhile, earns her second Grammy after her 2017 victory for The Color Purple cast album.
While Grande’s turn as Glinda earned her an Academy Award nomination last year, Wicked: For Good was notably absent from this year’s Oscars.
Their win adds a musical highlight to a season otherwise dominated by cinematic snubs.
