Ryan Coogler’s Sinner continues to lead award season with two major victories at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
On Sunday, February 1, the supernatural thrillers mark victories in Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
Composer Ludwig Göransson took home the first category for haunting original score. It was his fifth Grammy win in a similar category.
Whereas the movie compilation soundtrack award honours multiple artists, celebrating the original songs has a gist of period-inspired tracks that boost the 1930s-set horror-fantasy narrative
These Grammy wins follow Sinners' record-breaking moment at the 2026 Academy Awards. The movie racked up 16 nominations for the Academy, surpassing the previous high of 14 held by classics like All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016).
The awards round off a remarkable run for Warner Bros.’ release, which has captured both critical acclaim and audience attention since its April 2025 debut.
Sinner’s Oscar nods include major categories: Best Picture, Best Director for Coogler, Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, supporting acting slots for Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku, as well as technical fields like cinematography, production design, visual effects, and original score and song.
