Steven Spielberg won Grammy for his documentary ‘Music by John Williams’
American filmmaker Steven Spielberg has made history with his first ever Grammy win.
The Jurassic Park creator has now officially entered the prestigious EGOT club.
The EGOT status is achieved by person after they win the four precious awards of Entertainment; Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
Steven received his first ever Grammy in the best music film category for the documentary Music by John Williams.
He received the accolade at the 68th Grammys held on February 1, 2026.
The EGOT status is so exclusive that so far only 27 people have achieved it.
The 79-year-old filmmaker has three Oscars, twelve Emmys, one Tony and now one Grammy.
In a statement he said “This acknowledgment is obviously deeply meaningful to me because it validates what I have known for over 50 years.”
He also hold the record for the most Academy Award nominations for best picture.
The director is also up for the Best Picture Oscar for the 98th Academy Awards with Hamnet.
American composer Richard Rodgers was the first ever person to achieve the title.
