Kelly Clarkson makes big announcement about her talk show
Kelly Clarkson finally reveals her decision about her talk show in a new social media post
Kelly Clarkson has recently made big announcement about her talk show, which is in its seventh season.
The American Idol alum finally confirms that her Daytime Emmy-winning The Kelly Clarkson Show will end after seven seasons.
In a statement posted to Instagram, Kelly expresses her gratitude to her team, writing, “I am forever grateful and honoured to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for.”
She also “thanked” guests on the show who “shared their time and lives” and the fans for their support.
Kelly also gives credit to “NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner”.
Dishing out reason, the daytime talk show host discloses her decision to “step away” from the show’s daily schedule will allow her “to prioritise my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives”.
However, Kelly hints at her future projects, saying, “This isn’t goodbye… l’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.”
In the end, she adds, “I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”
The announcement of Kelly’s talk show comes months after the death of the host and musician’s former husband Brandon Blackstock in August due to cancer.
For those unversed, Kelly shares two daughters with her late ex-husband.
Meanwhile, a final date has not been announced even though NBC Universal mentioned that the episodes “will air through fall 2026”.
