Dhurandar 2 faced trouble as Mumbai Police filed an FIR against its location manager for allegedly flying a drone without permission during a shoot in Ballard Estate. The incident halted the filming in the high-security area.

The pictures showed Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal filming in South Mumbai’s Ballard Estate, which was converted into Karachi’s Lyari locality for a key portion of the movie. However, the shoot was stopped two days ago after police intervention.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the Mumbai Police acted after the crew allegedly flew a drone without proper permission.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against location manager Rinku Rajpal Valmiki under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for “knowingly disobeying lawful orders from officials.”

A drone was used to capture his dramatic walk. Police officials reached the location and ordered the shoot to stop after they discovered that drone permission was not obtained for the high-security area. The FIR mentioned that drones were used without the required clearance.

Zonal DCP Pravin Mundhe confirmed the incident and said that the location manager was taken into custody.

Police sources reported that while the line producers had secured permission from the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited for filming, they had not obtained drone clearance.

Local residents reported that the Dhurandhar 2 team blocked two parallel roads—Fort-Nariman Street and Modi Street—on January 30, 31, and February 1 for the shoot.

Recently, the makers revealed a poster announcing the sequel’s title, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The poster featured deep red tones and showed Ranveer Singh soaked in rain, staring ahead with a fierce expression. Behind him, the title “The Revenge” was carved in a blood-red wall.

The film resumed with the story of Hamza Ali Mazhari, an Indian undercover agent who infiltrated Pakistan’s underworld. After eliminating Rehman Dakait, Hamza rose through the ranks and faced Major Iqbal, the ISI mastermind known as Bade Sahab.
