David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are said to be considering legal action nearly two weeks after their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, released a scathing six-page statement against his parents.

According to Heat Magazine, the 50-year-old former footballer and his 51-year-old wife are prepared to go the extra mile to protect their brand and public image following the bombshell claims made by their son.

A source said the couple have been in talks with legal advisers, discussing how they could respond after Brooklyn accused them of controlling his life.

“David and Victoria have been locked in meetings with advisers ever since this happened, weighing all options about how to respond and manage the family image moving forward,” the insider said.

The tipster added, “A big part of them wants to ride it out and avoid fuelling the rumour mill. But if Brooklyn and Nicola double down with a full-blown tell-all or more vicious public attacks, then the growing consensus is that they’ll have no option but to unleash the lawyers.”

Despite the reportedly ongoing conversations, the idea of suing their own son is described as heartbreaking and deeply painful for David and Victoria, as they have no intention of engaging in “warfare” with him.

However, the insider claimed that it was “Brooklyn who crossed the line to such a horrific and unforgivable degree,” adding that his parents have been told they could have a case for “slander at a minimum.”

Toward the end, the confidant said that the couple, who have been married for more than 26 years, are facing “a big push” to begin exploring legal options.

Brooklyn previously accused his parents, particularly his mother, of hijacking his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz, alleging that Victoria danced “inappropriately” on him.

David and Victoria Beckham have yet to respond publicly to the allegations made by Brooklyn Beckham, who has made it clear that he does not wish to reconcile with his family.
