Netflix announced its content slate for the upcoming year which includes Talaash: A Mother's Search mystery thriller series scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Parineeti Chopra stars in the show which delivers an emotional story that combines suspenseful elements with a deep dive into motherhood and belief and truth.

The film Talaash: A Mother’s Search shows a mother who experiences suffering because she sees yearly pictures of her kidnapped son.

Nine years after the disappearance her relentless pursuit of answers leads her to a devastating realisation the truth she has been chasing may not lie in some distant place but within the closely guarded secrets of the people she trusts the most.

The series presents itself as a kidnapping drama which uses emotional control to show mystery through its performances instead of depending on sudden surprises.

Rensil D'Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra created the series while Rensil D'Silva directed the show. The writing team consists of Rensil D'Silva, Riva Razdan, Hussain Dalal and Abbas Dalal along with Kausar Munir who serves as the consulting writer to enhance the story development.

Alchemy Films and Reel Culprits Films together with co-producer Chandini D'Silva bring to life Talaash: A Mother's Search which producers Siddharth P Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra created. Sapna Malhotra also serves as the executive producer on the project.

The series features Parineeti alongside a talented cast which includes Soni Razdan Anup Soni Jennifer Winget Tahir Bhasin Harleen Sethi Dhruv Chowdhary and Sumeet Vyas.
