From ‘Bhakshak’ to ‘Kartavya’: Director Pulkit returns to Netflix with Saif Ali Khan
Netflix has announced Kartavya which features Saif Ali Khan and Rasika Dugal in a new crime drama according to its Next On Netflix India 2026 slate.
The platform also shared the first glimpses from the project which the two actors will show for their first time together on screen.
The film Kartavya which takes place in central India shows a police officer who faces a decision about his ethical values when his family gets endangered.
The narrative investigates the limits of human determination when dangerous situations arise and the lead faces personal tragedies and his quest for truth.
The creators described Kartavya as a narrative which connects the three elements of law with family connections and the duties of individuals.
The team described their second collaboration with Netflix and director Pulkit through their project which connects to Bhakshak.
The team members showcased Saif performance as a police officer who represents complex moral dilemmas through his character development which resulted from facing difficult decisions instead of making simple ethical choices.
The movie Kartavya which Pulkit directed and wrote and Gauri Khan produced through Red Chillies Entertainment showcases Sanjay Mishra and Saurabh Dwivedi and Zakir Hussain and Manish Chaudhari as its outstanding supporting actors.
Kartavya is scheduled to release on Netflix in 2026.
