‘Magic Mike’ actor shares on social media that he’s having surgery
Channing Tatum gives major update about his surgery for shoulder injury in a new social media post.
The Magic Mike actor takes to Instagram on Tuesday night, February 3, and posts a black-and-white photo of himself in a hospital gown while lying on a bed.
Going through the picture, it seems like he’s all set to undergo surgery after injuring his shoulder.
“Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in,” writes the 45-year-old actor in the caption.
Moreover, Channing even shares two X-rays on his Instagram Story, the first one he shows “a separated shoulder”.
In the second picture, a screw in his shoulder can be seen and he quips, “Screwed shoulder. Yay.”
For now, the Dear John actor has not shared much details about his injury or how it all happened.
However, this is not the first time that Channing has gotten injured. Back in September 2025, the actor revealed that he suffered leg injury while filming the new Avengers: Doomsday movie.
At the time, The Step Up actor told Variety that it was so intense that he had stand-in for his many stunts in the action movie.
Channing also added that he would take pain medications that were quite strong and made him feel drowsy. The actor also underwent through physical therapy to aid his recovery.
