Gabriel Basso opened up about the unexpected moment that pushed him to delete his Instagram account, blaming it on a picture of Mount Everest.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 3, the 31-year-old actor, who takes the leadt in Netflix’s thriller series The Night Agent as Peter Sutherland, explained the entire situation to the host and his fans.

As it turns out that Gabriel had experienced a sudden moment of clarity while casually scrolling past a photo taken from the top of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on Earth.

"I was doom-scrolling and I saw a picture from the top of Mount Everest. And I was like, ‘Wow, this is beautiful,'" he admitted.

"And then I stopped and I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ Why do I now know what that looks like? And it p****d me off that that guy stepped over literal bodies to get up there to see that view, and now I was seeing it from my couch," he added.

"It bothered me that I had that image in my head now without any effort to earn that visual. And I was like, ‘Dude, screw this whole platform," the A House of Dynamite actor humorously remarked.

Gabriel also proceeded to call the situation of him being able to see the view from the mountain while scrolling on his phone "wack," earning some laughter from the audience.
