Jesy Nelson recalled the devastating birth of her twin girls who were later diagnosed with rare genetic condition.
The singer became a first-time mother last year when she welcomed daughters Ocean and Story.
The former Little Mix star has had a difficult past year with the complicated pregnancy, daughters’ diagnosis and split from partner Zion Foster.
While making appearance on the Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast, she said she had been living in the hospital for three years.
At the time of birth, the doctors told her she will be put to sleep which meant she would miss her kids’ birth.
“I feel like, in my whole pregnancy, everything like, was taken from me. Like, all the things you're supposed to enjoy, they were all taken from me.” she said.
Jesy said she was excited to see the birth of her girls but she unfortunately missed it.
“It's the most awful feeling when you've carried babies for nine months in your belly and you wake up, they're not there, and you can't even see them.”
When she woke up after the operation, the babies were taken for first aid care.
