Rashmika Mandanna is pressing pause on one of Indian cinema’s most talked-about films, but not because the cameras have stopped rolling.

The 29-year-old actor is reportedly stepping away from the Atlee-directed AA22xA6 to prepare for her wedding to fellow star Vijay Deverakonda, expected to take place in Udaipur on 26 February.

Production schedules are now being quietly reshuffled around the ceremony.

According to sources quoted by Variety India, the Sikandar actress has already begun filming and is set to continue until mid-February in Mumbai. 

The current schedule is heavy, with long indoor shoots and physically demanding scenes.

A source said, “This ongoing schedule is reported to be an intensive month-long indoor shoot, primarily focusing on action-packed sequences and emotionally intense dramatic moments.”

AA22xA6 stars Allu Arjun and is being watched closely, not just for its scale, but for the Thama actress’s transformation. 

Several media outlets say she is playing a negative role, a sharp turn from her familiar cheerful screen image. The part has been described as “the most audacious and fearless of her career to date.”

The timing of her break has only fuelled wedding speculation. Reports say Rashmika has carefully adjusted her work commitments to make space for the ceremony.

The Udaipur wedding is expected to be followed by a reception in Hyderabad. After that, the Chhaava star is likely to take a short break before returning to full-time filming.
