Kelly Clarkson is reportedly feeling relieved and optimistic after announcing her decision to step away from her acclaimed daytime series, The Kelly Clarkson Show.

According to PEOPLE, the 43-year-old singer is excited to embark on a new chapter of her life after years of maintaining a demanding daily schedule.

"After years of an intense daily schedule, she’s excited to move at a different pace and have more flexibility to spend time with her kids without the structure of a daily show," a source revealed.

The insider added, "This change gives her the space to be more present at home while still doing the creative work she loves."

"Kelly still wants to make music and perform, and she’s open to popping up on projects she enjoys, but nothing that requires an ongoing daily grind," the tipster noted. "For her, this next phase is about balance."

The insider update comes just days after Clarkson confirmed she would be bidding farewell to her daytime show, marking the end of the series.

"I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,' both in Los Angeles and New York," she said in a statement shared on Instagram on February 2.

Expressing gratitude to the show’s band and crew, the singer explained that stepping away will allow her to prioritise her children, who recently lost their father, Brandon Blackstock, to cancer on August 7, 2025, at the age of 48.

Kelly Clarkson and her former husband shared two kids, daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington "Remy" Alexander Blackstock, 9.
