The TV star’s old joke resurfaced online
South African TV host Trevor Noah has been all over news since he hosted the Grammys on Sunday, February 1 in Los Angeles.
One of his old tweets resurfaced online in which he made a satirical joke about a Swaziland law, now known as Eswatini.
In the post, Trevor mocked the law of the time which threatened women with arrest for wearing “revealing” clothing for it could “tempt” men.
X user jackunheard shared the 2014 tweet of the host with the caption “This is the guy who hosted the Grammys last night by the way. Someone check for Trevor Noah in the Epstein Files. Sick and deranged.”
The joke divided the internet whether itw as satire or insensitive.
One user wrote defending Trevor “Have you heard of a thing called a joke?”
While another said the contrary “This is so twisted and evil.”
Trevor was publicly dragged by US President who said he did a terrible job hosting the event after the media personality mentioned Trump being named in the Epstein files.
