Ozzy Osbourne’s Ozzfest teases comeback
Ozzy Osbourne’s Ozzfest has hinted at a comeback in 2027.
A recent Instagram post from the festival’s official account stirred speculation with a post, which read, "Will Ozzfest return in 2027?" This comes shortly after Sharon Osbourne confirmed talks to revive the festival as a tribute to her late husband.
Ozzfest last ran as a full festival in 2018, with a special New Year’s Eve edition in 2019, but Sharon believes fans are more eager than ever for a full-scale return.
As per Sharon, discussions with Live Nations have started to bring the legendary traveling festival back on a much bigger scale, and truly global.
"It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people. We really started metal festivals in this country," she said while speaking to Billboard.
"It was [replicated but] never done with the spirit of what ours was, because ours was a place for new talent. It was like summer camp for kids," she added.
She seemingly wants to advance the Ozzfest brand for younger audiences, teasing a lineup that blends metal with complementary genres to match the way fans enjoy music today.
