Mariah Carey turned the 2026 Winter Olympics opening night into a dazzling concert with her hit songs and glittery look.
On Friday, February 6, the Global pop diva performed her Italian classic Volare and her new hit song, Nothing Is Impossible, at Milan’s San Siro Olympic Stadium on Friday.
The Grammy-winning singer owned the stage in a show-stopping silver gown that shimmered with intricate, geometric sequin detailing. Over the gown, she draped a voluminous, feathered white cape that added a dramatic, almost ethereal flair.
Carey’s signature long, honey-blonde waves cascaded effortlessly over her shoulders. Whereas she accessoried her look with a total of 66 carats of sparkling statement earrings and 55 carats diamond bracelet.
The sparkly jewellery also included a staggering 20-carat diamond pendant courtesy of Levuma. The entire diamond set is valued at a collective $15 million, as per Page Six.
The opening ceremony also featured performances and appearances by Andrea Bocelli, Italian actor and producer Pierfrancesco Favino with violinist Giovanni Zanon, The White Lotus star Sabrina Impacciatore, Italian singers Laura Pausini and Cecilia Bartoli, Chinese pianist Lang Lang, and Italian-Tunisian rapper Ghali.
