Police claim the 27-year-old boy’s body was found in pond near the residence
Lil Jon’s son's body has been found in a Georgia pond near his residence, as claimed by police on Friday, February 6, after he had disappeared a few days ago.
Nathan Smith, better known as DJ Young Slade, was reported missing Tuesday morning, February 3, after he was last seen running from his home in Milton.
On Friday, authorities discovered his body in a nearby pond, police confirmed.
The medical examiner’s office still has to provide official confirmation and determine both the cause and manner of death.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the Smith family during this difficult time,” police said in a statement. “We ask the community and media to respect the family’s privacy as they grieve.”
Smith’s residence called the police around 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Authorities said he may have been disoriented and in need of help when he left the house.
In their Friday update, police noted he departed under “unusual circumstances” but stressed that foul play is not suspected.
Milton police described the investigation as active and ongoing.
No representative or sources of Lil Jon have responded to the ongoing matter.
