Lana Del Rey announces new single ‘White feather-hawk tail deer hunter’
Lana Del Rey has finally given hope to fans by announcing her music comeback with a new track called, White feather-hawk tail deer hunter.
On Saturday, February 7, the baroque pop singer teases the title and release date of her favoite song from the upcoming album, Stove, which has been long-delayed.
Taking on Instagram stories, Del Rey posted a video where she said, “I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single, my favorite song [from the new album] — this is the one I’ve been waiting for.”
“’White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ is coming out on the 17th,” she announced. Although, she didn’t specify the month, but it can be presumed its February.
Del Rey further acknowledged working with producers Drew Erickson and Jack Antonoff on the track. She noted that the producers “finally found that magical chord that I was missing.”
The track was co-written with her husband Jeremy Dufrene, her brother-in-law, and her sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant, with mixing by Dean Reid and Laura Sisk.
“There’s so many bits and phrases thrown in by other people,” Del Rey said in a monotonous clip, while confirming that the music video has also been already filmed.
“We made the video ourselves,” she explained. “But it still takes hours of editing, uploading, and downloading.”
Del Rey hinted that her upcoming 10th album could be released within the next few months.
“I know, you’re asking about the record,” she said. “But honestly, soon. ‘Cause vinyl takes three months, so three months plus two weeks. It could be give or take a bit less than that.”
