Salman Khan’s upcoming film The Battle of Galwan continues to build excitement as audiences await its theatrical release.

Based on the latest findings, the 60-year-old superstar’s next film makers "feel that they would not be able to meet the April 17 deadline."

A source close to Bollywood Hungama shared, the film’s shoot is still ongoing, with “a week-long schedule [that] will commence from February 9. Following that, ‘a few more days of shooting are left, and by February-end, it’ll be a wrap.’”

According to the outlet, director Apoorva Lakhia will begin editing the reshot parts of the film and the movie needs to be shown to the Ministry of Defence, and this process may take a while.

Moreover, the tipster added, "Due to these two reasons, the makers feel that they would not be able to meet the April 17 deadline...”

Meanwhile the team is carefully weighing their options, the source mentioned, “Though Salman Khan and Apoorva Lakhia are seriously considering postponing The Battle of Galwan, they are yet to take the final call. Salman bhai is unpredictable; he might still get the film out on April 17 despite the circumstances, but the chances seem remote. A clearer picture is expected to emerge in a few days from now.”

Notably, the 2026 Hindi war film, which is inspired by the 2020 border fight, along with Salman as Colonel B. Santosh Babu starred Chitrangda Singh, Ankur Bhatia, Abhilash Chaudhary, Zeyn Shaw, Heera Sohal, Govinda, and Vipin Bhardwaj.
