Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ postponed, new date announced
Why ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ skipped March release, now set for May 2026
The upcoming comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh Do which features Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh has officially received a new release date.
The makers of the film which Mudassar Aziz directed have confirmed that it will be released in cinemas on May 15 2026.
The announcement puts paid to widespread speculation of recent days about the fate of the film and its distribution plans.
A source was quoted saying, “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do will not arrive in cinemas on March 4 as planned because the post-production is not yet complete and a song also remains to be shot. The makers are clear that they have made a special film and don’t want to rush through the process. They want to devote time and effort into ensuring that the final product turns out to be entertaining as well as enticing for the audience. Hence, they decided to postpone the release.”
The updated release date reflects that decision which enables the creators to work on their final cut until its completion.
The production team decided to change their release date because the film's cast includes multiple actors who attract viewers from different demographic groups.
Producer Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra and Juno Chopra as creative producer present Pati Patni Aur Woh Do which shows viewers the life of Prajapati Pandey through Ayushmann Khurrana's performance.
The film will continue its franchise's comedic style through its new creative elements and different cast members according to the production team who withheld information about its storyline.
The upcoming movie serves as a unique partnership between Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan who join Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh to create one of the most awaited comedic films which will feature multiple actors.
