When does Green Day perform at the Super Bowl? Full schedule breakdown
Green Day is scheduled for Super Bowl 60 but his performance is not during the halftime show as many fans are assuming.
Green Day's performance time is at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on Sunday for its opening ceremony. The Super Bowl will start at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT.
The performance will take place during a special ceremony celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Super Bowl, according to the NFL.
Green Day’s opening ceremony appearance can be watched live on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock, and Universo.
After the opening ceremony singer Charlie Puth will perform the national anthem. The NFL selected Green Day as a featured act to mark the Super Bowl’s 60th edition.
The band started in Berkeley, California, located just across the San Francisco Bay from Levi’s Stadium where Super Bowl 60 will be played making it a special moment for Green Day.
For this same reason, the NFL called Green Day as a “hometown opening act.”
The NFL has not released an official setlist but confirmed the band will perform a selection of their best-known anthems.
Green Day’s most recognisable songs include:
• Basket Case
• American Idiot
• Boulevard of Broken Dreams
• Wake Me Up When September Ends
• Holiday
• 21 Guns
