Alyssa Farah Griffin and Justin Griffin welcome a baby boy to their family.
The View co-host gave birth to her first baby, a son, on Tuesday, February 10. The name has also been decided for the boy as Justin Patrick Griffin, Jr.
On Wednesday, February 11, the ABC daytime talk show publicly shared the news. And on the day of junior’s birth, co-host Whoopi Goldberg shared that Alyssa had to skip the show because she had gone into labor.
"The first thing we want to do is start by congratulating Alyssa and her husband Justin on the birth of their baby boy," Goldberg said on Wednesday.
The co-host revealed that the baby boy “weighed in at 7 lbs. and 19-and-a-half inches."
Alyssa and Justin married in November 2021.
Last October, Alyssa revealed the news about her pregnancy for the first time and said that she and her husband had spent two years trying to conceive before finally succeeding after five rounds of IVF.
Throughout the journey, she discovered she had endometriosis, a condition in which tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus and can affect fertility.
"I went undiagnosed my whole life until I started this process," Alyssa explained. "So that just added to the complications."
