F1 doesn’t end with Brad Pitt’s action; there’s more on the way.
On Monday, February 10, at The Hollywood Reporter's Nominees Night, the F1 producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that the sequel to the hit sports movie is in the works.
"We're working on the story. It's really good," Bruckheimer revealed to PEOPLE. "We're talking to Lewis Hamilton. We're getting it going through him and pitching him the ideas and see what he thinks."
However, the Pirates of the Caribbean producer remained silent on whether the film’s star, Brad Pitt, will be returning.
"We'll see. I'm not going to tell you yet," Bruckheimer said.
F1 stars Brad Pitt, 62, as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 prodigy who makes a comeback to the sport after 30 years as an underdog.
Damson Idris plays Joshua Pearce, a young teammate guided by Sonny, while Javier Bardem appears as Rubén Cervantes, the team’s owner.
Released in June 2025, the film became a global box office hit, raking in $633 million and securing four Oscar nominations at the 2026 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Visual Effects.
