Zayn Malik breaks silence on throwing shade at Harry Styles
Zayn Malik finally speaks out after allegedly taking a jab at former bandmate
In a shocking move, Zayn Malik has finally addressed his remarks made during one of his concerts.
The 33-year-old English singer reportedly threw not so subtle shade at his former bandmate Harry Styles during his latest Las Vegas residency show on January 28.
After Harry recently sparked outrage after fans called him out for high ticket prices for his tour on social media, the Die For Me hitmaker allegedly took a jab at the 32-year-old English singer during his show.
Addressing the crowd, Zayn first thanked his fans for showing up to watch him perform, saying, "I just want to say a big, big thank you for being here with me tonight."
He then humorously added, "Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high . Just saying!" which garnered loud cheers from fans.
Many fans online immediately connected his comments with Harry’s concert’s ticket prices.
But now, the Pillow Talk singer and former One Direction member, clarified the situation during his appearance on Call Her Daddy podcast.
Alex Cooper, the host, asked him about the situation, saying he has been "all over the internet" after it.
"You have been all over the internet right now because you made a joke the other night on stage about people’s high ticket prices," she cheekily questioned him.
To which Zayn confidently responded by noting that he never took any names.
"I never specified no names, you know?" he stated.
"People have had high ticket prices all over the place. I could’ve been talking about anybody," he nonchalantly explained with a chuckle. "Take it as you want."
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions to his response, with one user playfully calling the singer "Messy."
"Why are people so mad he barely said anything," another defended him
