Epstein Files: Pam Bondi receives flake for defending Donald Trump
US Attorney General Pam Bondi defended Donald Trump
During a congressional hearing held on Wednesday, the US Attorney General Pam Bondi defended President Donald Trump with respect to the Epstein files.
The Department of Justice released new batch of more than 3 million files linked to the crimes of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein who passed away in 2019 while serving in prison.
In the released files, many famous powferul men have been mentioned including the US President.
Pam Bondi gave a testimony before the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee which turned into a shouting fest while some of the victims of Epstein were present at the hearing.
Ted Lieu questioned Pam over Trump’s links with Epstein to which she replied “There is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime.”
The interaction angered netizens online as one wrote “She is acting like she’s above the law. She isn’t.”
Other accused her of lying to defend the president.
Democratic lawmakers questioned Pam over the handling of the files and how many names of possible offenders have been redacted who were allegedly involved in the crimes of Epstein.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed in November 2025 which has prompted the release of the documents.
