Pirated DVDs of the film Dhurandhar were found being sold openly in Pakistan for as low as PKR 50, which is around Rs 16 in Indian currency.

New Zealand blogger and YouTuber Karl Rock shared a video from Karachi where he visited Rainbow Centre, a market known for selling pirated content.

During his visit, he came across a shopkeeper who was selling copies of the Ranveer Singh-starrer.

In the video, Karl said, “Indian films are banned in Pakistan, but look what I found.”

He then asked the shopkeeper, “Ye film kitne rupay ki hai? The shopkeeper replied, “Sir, it is for Rs 50 PKR.” Karl also asked, “This is a new film from India?”

The shopkeeper responded, “This is an Indian film, Dhurandhar. It has been released recently.”

The clip quickly spread on social media platforms. Several users reacted to the video and shared their views in the comments section.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar had recently premiered on Netflix on January 30.

Producer Jyoti Deshpande had earlier spoken about the film’s performance. She said, “The success of Dhurandhar 1 in just one language has been so unprecedented. It is the most-watched film in Pakistan too.”

The film stars Ranveer Singh as an Indian operative working undercover in Pakistan’s Lyari area, targeting criminal networks linked to terrorism. Based on real events, the film also features Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt.

The sequel, Dhurandhar 2, was scheduled to release in theatres on March 19.
