Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap shared his response after watching Kohrra Season 2 and praised the team behind the series. He posted a detailed note on Instagram, where he spoke about the performances and the storytelling of the show.

The Nishaanchi director said he watched the series without stopping and appreciated the direction by Sudip Sharma and Faisal Rahman. 

In his post, he wrote, “Could not stop watching it. Sudip Sharma is officially the first showrunner in India who now has two better second seasons of two great shows. First Paatal Lok and now Kohrra.”

He also spoke about the pace and structure of the story. “The storytelling is peak, taking its time to unfold, letting characters breathe. It is in no hurry to solve the mystery, and in the process unpacks a whole town of people that needs therapy, including its protagonists,” he wrote.

Kashyap especially mentioned Mona Singh and Barun Sobti for their performances in the series. He described their roles as emotional and powerful.

“Mona Singh and Barun Sobti's characters and performances are so cathartic. By the last episode I was weeping. You won't believe that it's directed by two first time filmmakers,” the Maharaja director added.

Kohrra Season 2 featured Mona Singh and Barun Sobti in key roles and continued the story set in Punjab. The second season focused on a new investigation while exploring the personal lives of the characters.
