Rupert Grint has recently opened up about the perks of working in Harry Potter franchise.
The actor is back with his new movie in three years, titled Nightborn, which would be premiered at the Berlin Film Festival today (February 14).
During his interview with Variety, the HP alum revealed he could be picky when it comes to choosing a project because of his earnings from Harry Potter movies.
“I love working, but I also just love being at home, hanging out and being a dad. I’m not ridiculously ambitious,” said the father of two daughters, whom he shares with his partner Georga Groome.
Rupert explained that he just wanted to do one movie every year , telling the outlet, “I’m very aware of that privilege.”
The actor further said, “It was hard work, but those movies have allowed us to pick and choose, which is just such a gift.”
“Obviously, it doesn’t mean you’re always going to choose the right thing. But I do feel very lucky for that,” added the actor.
Elsewhere in the interview, Rupert also pointed out that HP movies, which were released between 2001 and 2011, was “an absolute constant in his life” that helped him “appreciate not being on set and “really value downtime” in the years after it ended.
