Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the biggest films ever made in India, and things related to it are also getting big, including the cast reveal.

Since the title-reveal video was released, the film has generated strong buzz. The grand visuals, powerful background score and large cast have created huge excitement among fans.

The highly anticipated project is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, in association with the eight-time Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG.

The partnership itself shows how large and ambitious this film really is.

Ever since the teaser made with visual brilliance dropped, fans have been eagerly waiting for further details about the film and its cast.

A new report by Bollywood Hungama says producer Namit Malhotra is planning a grand event to officially introduce all the characters and the full team of Ramayana. The event is set to take place on Ram Navami, March 26, 2026.

Top names from politics, films and sports are expected to attend. It is being whispered that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may also be present. Home Minister Amit Shah is already confirmed, along with several other dignitaries.

Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama, has personally invited many of the VIP guests.

The event is being quietly called the “mother of all events” and will be held at the Gateway of India in Mumbai, with the tightest security in place.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Rocking Star Yash as the formidable Ravana. Sunny Deol steps into the role of Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey essays Lakshman.
