Harry Styles explains what changes he made in his life to ‘feel free’ from pressure of fame
Harry Styles has recently opened up about his coping mechanism to navigate the immense pressure of fame.
The English singer revealed it was a big step to take time off from his successful career at the time.
His new album, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, is the first in four years, set to debut on March 6.
Interestingly, Harry was out of the limelight for more than two years since his Love on Tour performances ended back in 2023.
Speaking to The Times, the former One Direction member revealed that the idea of “taking time out felt insane” and he did not know if he would be able to do it.
However, Harry noted that it was “time for me to stop for a bit and pay some attention to other parts of my life”.
During this period, he travelled to Italy and relished the time alone, sitting at a café with a cup of coffee, which he never did before.
“I remember going to a café and sitting and having a coffee and thinking, ‘I don’t remember the last time I sat down and had a coffee – if I’ve ever sat down and just had a coffee,’” he told the outlet.
Describing his time in Italy as “a big, important, transitional moment,” Harry discovered that readjusting to a “quieter life has been so powerful” for him.
“Without question, that has influenced the work I’m now making because it came from a place of pure freedom,” added the singer.
