Betty White passed away in 2021 at the age of 99
Jennifer Love Hewitt is fondly remembering her late friend and former costar Betty White.
The legendary Amrican actress passed away after suffering a stroke in 2021 at the age of 99, just days before her 100th birthday.
The duo’s friendship began while they were shooting their 2011 drama The Lost Valentine .
The 46-year-old said she she has “nothing but beautiful things to say” about the beloved icon.
Speaking of their bond, Jennifer told People, “Betty was very special to me because growing up, my grandmother was my best friend, and I would sleep over at her house all the time, and our favorite show to watch together was The Golden Girls.”
Betty rose to fame from the hit sitcom The Golden Girls as Rose Nylund.
Jennifer said Betty is “a national treasure. Everyone knew that and she still is.”
Still, she playfully noted that the late actress’ only flaw was that “she did cheat at Scrabble a lot.”
The duo later starred in Hot in Cleveland in 2014.
