Abhishek Bachchan’s recent makeover had fans guessing for weeks, and now the actor has finally cleared the air.
Speaking at the Global Business Summit 2026, the 50-year-old confirmed that the new hair and sharp look are for his upcoming film King.
He said, “I am just flattered that you noticed that I have changed my look. Yes, I am currently shooting for my new film, which is called King."
The Paa actor did not share details about his character and kept the story under wraps. That has only added more buzz.
Social media was full of questions about why he looked different. Now, as the reason is out fans reacted quickly online.
One wrote, “I am expecting a Yuva-level performance.” Another said, “He’s looking really good with age.” Some even suggested, “Sid Anand should make him a ruthless villain.”
King stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and is directed by Siddharth Anand.
The film also features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal, and Saurabh Shukla.
There is also talk about Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji joining, but this has not been confirmed.
The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and will be released in cinemas on 24 December.
It also marks Suhana Khan’s big screen debut and Anand’s second project with the 60-year-old superstar after Pathaan.
