Several big names from Bollywood were seen quietly leaving Aamir Khan’s Mumbai home late on Thursday evening. 

There were no cameras inside, no official statements, and no smiles for the press. But the timing and the guest list were enough to start loud rumours across the industry.

Among those spotted were Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani from Excel Entertainment, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar of Tiger Baby Films, and Punit Goenka, MD and CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises.

For days, no one explained what the meeting was about. Now, a source close to the talks has revealed that the gathering was not about a new film, but about fixing a serious problem.

“Aamir is trying to resolve the issues between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment. The two have had some unresolved issues, which have caught the eye. The meetings at his place are for the same,” the source said.

The dispute started after Ranveer Singh walked out of Don 3. 

Excel Entertainment later demanded ₹40 crore, saying the company had already spent heavily on pre-production and planning.

The 40-year-old actor, however, is said to have rejected the claim. 

He reportedly said he never took any advance and was unhappy with the script, calling it not a “bound script”. 

He also pointed out that he lost other work, including Baiju Bawra, while waiting for Don 3.

Resultantly, the Producers Guild of India has stepped in to mediate.
