Govind Namdev reacts to Shah Rukh Khan’s 24 hour nonstop schedule
Shah Rukh Khan’s discipline and focus on work, even with health challenges, stun Govind Namdev
Govind Namdev opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan in Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, lauding him for keeping going despite health issues.
During his latest media interaction, the 71-year-old actor stated, "Ek hi hai banda jo 24 ghante kaam karta hai."
In a conversation with The Lallantop, the National School of Drama alumnus disclosed, "Sona bhi 3-4 ghante, ussi mei dand bhaitak bhi hai, udghatan bhi karna hai, dialogue bhi yaad karna hai, kahin perform karne bhi jaana hai."
He continued, "Main hairaan ho gaya ki ye kaisa aadmi hai. Physical bahut zyada problem hai, reedh ki haddi ki problem hai, kaafi problem hai, dekh kar hame bhi sikhaaya."
Moreover, he mentioned that he was surprised to see the Bollywood superstar handle such a demanding schedule, from gym sessions and events to performances and learning his lines, all on very little sleep.
In a past interview with The Guardian, Shah Rukh revealed how he manages his irregular work routine.
He said, "When Mark Wahlberg gets up, I go off to sleep. And then I wake up about nine or 10 if I am shooting. But then I will come home at 2 am, take a bath and then work out before I go to sleep."
On the work front, Shah Rukh will next appear in Siddharth Anand’s King, which is slated to hit theaters on December 24, 2026. The much anticipated film also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan.
Meanwhile, Govind remains occupied with a packed slate of projects. He is presently shooting Gaurishankar Goharganj Wale in Indore and was recently seen in Sam Bahadur, along with Gandhi Talks, Bombay Don, Masala King, and Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan.
