BAFTA glory for ‘Boong’; Film set for big-screen release
The producers of the film Excel Entertainment, Chalkboard Entertainment and Suitable Pictures have announced the release date of Boong which will be the film on the silver screen for another show along with poster to match.
The film reached its first achievement when it became the first Indian movie to win a BAFTA award which it received for Best Children's and Family Film at the British Academy Film Awards.
The project received its first international recognition through the win which positioned it as a top competitor in the global category.
Sharing the new poster on social media the makers captioned it, “A journey of innocence love and resilience. Witness India's first BAFTA Award winning film in cinemas on 6th March.”
The film which Lakshmipriya Devi wrote and directed shows a young boy who tries to surprise his mother through his plan to bring his missing father back home.
The search process through which he operates establishes new family relationships which defy his initial expectations and result in an unexpected emotional response.
Boong has a major international interest following its BAFTA accolade and anticipation for its upcoming screening at theatres from March 6.
