Ryan Gosling reveals real reason behind his decision to work on ‘Star Wars’ franchise

Ryan Gosling has recently explained why he picked Star Wars: Starfighter movie.

The Notebook star reflected on big projects and why he never felt right to do those movies of big banners.

“It was Shawn’s enthusiasm and his vision and the script,” said Ryan in an interview with io9.

The Blade Runner actor, who is currently busy filming Shawn Levy’s new movie, pointed out that he just “avoided these things because they never felt right”.

However, Ryan is “glad” he did because “I feel like, [similar to] a book like this, [it was] worth waiting for”.

“And it is like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” added Barbie actor.

Interestingly, the Canadian actor commended the installment, describing it as “a great story with great and original characters” and “so much heart as well as adventure”.

“There is not a more perfect filmmaker for this particular story than Shawn,” remarked The Fall Guy actor.

Meanwhile, the Star Wars: Starfighter, set to release in theatres on May 28, 2027, features stars including Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, Flynn Gray and Amy Adams.
