The Kerala Story 2 reached theatres on Saturday after the film went through extensive discussions and a midnight High Court session and a sudden change to its release prohibition.

The film established strong box office potential through its public disputes which lasted two weeks like the success of its previous film. The film established its destiny through the first showtime after it started screening.

The Kerala Story 2 box office projection

The Kerala Story 2 released in its first showing to theatres on Saturday, 28 February after the Kerala High Court ended its release prohibition.

The film has failed to meet expectations because its morning shows throughout India achieved only 6-7% occupancy.

According to trade insiders The Kerala Story 2 will achieve day 1 domestic business between ₹3 crore and ₹3.5 crore. The movie will exceed ₹4 crore box office earnings if people have positive word of mouth about it.

The morning show collections match the predictions which were made in advance. Sacnilk has reported that the film has earned just ₹41 lakh across India by 1 PM.

Slowly but steadily the first part of the film had taken a good opening by the end of the first two weeks and so it could also be expected that success would be doubled with the sequel if it ended up having to do the same.
