Paul Wesley set to take on new role in 'The Buccaneers'

The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley is set to join The Buccaneers for its third season, as per Deadline.

The 43-year-old actor will step into Apple TV’s period drama, which is an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s last unfinished novel, as Frank.

His character encapsulates a charming but mysterious outsider whose sudden entrance into Nan and Mrs. St. George’s lives, sending shockwaves through their world.

Set photos of Paul (Paweł Tomasz Wasilewski) alongside Christina Hendricks’ Patty St. George made the rounds on the internet earlier this week, suggesting that production on the third season has started.
